Saskatchewan Motorcycle Rides for Your Ducati This Fall

Aug. 7 2024 Ducati By FFun Motorcycle

Fall happens to be the perfect time for motorcycle rides, and Saskatchewan is the best place for them. Maybe you've just gotten your Ducati from Ffun Motorcycle Company and need some inspiration (or excuses to ride it all the time). Here we'll look at some of the best rides in the area.

Why Fall Is the Best

Mild weather and changing leaves are (basically) the definition of fall. Canada has both in plenty. The hot summer fades to cool — but not yet cold — months that are perfect for riding. With Canada's natural beauty, fall foliage is always breathtaking. Fall motorcycle rides take you on a tour of all this. Plus, October 15th is National Motorcycle Ride Day.

Saskatchewan Motorcycle Roads

If you're unfamiliar with it, Saskatchewan is nestled between Manitoba and Alberta and south of the Northwest Territories. It's full of scenic routes, historical sites, and unique landscapes. If you want something a little more rugged, there are plenty of backroads to explore. Just be careful on the gravel roads, please.

The Best Fall Rides

Here's just a sample of what Saskatchewan has to offer for bikers looking for unique fall road trips.

The Qu'Appelle Valley

The Qu'Appelle Valley in southern Saskatchewan is a winding trail through glacier-carved hills, valleys, and lakes. The fall foliage is particularly vibrant. Riders love this route and usually recommend stopping at the pub at Katepwa Lake.

Saskatoon to Waskesiu National Park

This ride takes you north of Saskatoon, from the prairies to the boreal forests. The forest practically glows gold in the fall. Waskesiu National Park is worth the trip alone. It's also beautiful, of course, but all the wildlife is something to behold, too.

The Cypress Hills

If you're looking for mountains, check out the Cypress Hills ride in southwestern Saskatchewan. The range is covered in lodgepole pine forests full of wildlife like elk and bison. At 1500 meters, this is the highest elevation between the Torngat and Rocky Mountains. You'll also find the Cypress Hill Winery here, and they have some very unique flavours, to say the least. Ever had chokecherry wine? Rhubarb? Saskatoon berry?

Moose Jaw to Grasslands National Park

Try this ride if you're interested in some of southern Saskatchewan's unique landscape. The Dirt Hills and the Claybank Brick Plant National Historical Site are a couple along this route. Grassland National Park is a beautiful example of the Canadian prairies. Beware, though, the park is only accessible by gravel roads.

Why Ducati?

You're probably familiar with the big motorcycle names; Harley-Davidson, BMW, Honda, Yamaha, etc. So what makes Ducati stand out? Ducatis are fast, high-performance, agile bikes that are consistently high-quality. To a lot of Ducati riders, that stuff is surprisingly secondary. These bikers are some of the most passionate about their motorcycles. They love the distinct design of these Italian machines and hxaow it feels to ride them.

You might find your next Ducati at FFUN Motorcycle Company in Saskatoon.
